The first half of the season for Boys Track and Field consisted of strong performances at invitational meets, highlighted by a dominant 1st place finish at the Merli Invitational.

Montclair also finished 3rd at Essex Country Relay Championships, then had six athletes and relays score points at Essex County Individual Championships.

In the state tournament, Montclair finished 6th at Sectionals, with Richard Fortune winning the individual Shot Put championship, and had three qualifiers for the Meet of Champs. 

The team also impressed at the national level. Three athletes, including a 5th place finish by Daniel Nixon in the 200m, and the 4×200 competed at Eastern State Championships. The 4×200 also competed at Nike Nationals. 

Montclair will go into the spring season with a bigger and healthier roster, looking to impress again.
