The Montclair High Girls’ Bowling team had another successful season, finishing with an 8-4-1 record and securing 2nd place in the SEC American Division.

The team had a very strong roster which included 4 seniors: Abby Price, Diana Creaser, Hazel Aiello, and Georgia Pendas. The new addition of sophomore, Brooklyn Awad, was also crucial to the team.

In regular season play, the team bowled really strong. They swept multiple teams such as Bloomfield, Belleville, Mount St. Dominic, and Barringer. The only losses came from Nutely and Irvington which are all fellow competitive programs.

The team bowled extremely well at counties and also bowled in the first round of states. Price, Aiello, and Awad all qualified for the competitive county individuals, and Aiello and Awad placed within the top five bowlers in the county. At states, the team also witnessed two new high scores, Aiello with a 176, and Price with a 181.

With such a stacked senior team, Coach Totaro hopes to rebuild and recruit for next season in order to follow up such a successful 2022-23 season.
