MSN: Montclair vs Newton-Lenape Valley Boys’ Ice Hockey Recap

The Montclair Varsity Hockey team needed to keep their momentum rolling, going into the fifth game of the season against Newton-Lenape Valley.
The Mounties started the scoring quickly, with Senior Captain Miles Fletcher putting in his third goal of the season.
Montclair kept the pressure on with Sophomore Logan Brown also scoring his third of the season, assisted by Freshman Hannah Rosenheck, to put the Mounties up by 2 going into the second period.
They continued their dominance in the second period, with Sophomore Ben Rhors scoring his first varsity goal to give the mounties a 3-goal lead.
Minutes later Freshman Daniel Gallagher scored to extend the lead to 4-0. In the final minutes of the second period, Sophomore Colin Felber scored his first of the season to make it 5-0.
Going into the third period Brown was forced to leave the game with a wrist injury, leaving the team without their starting defenseman. However, Junior Gavin Parma was able to keep up his consistent play, and Sophomores Zane Levy, Tyler Bischak, Leland Gibson, and Freshman Jayden Manabat were able to step in and help lead the Mounties to back-to-back wins.
